    President Wang Xiangxi Visits France

Wang Xiangxi, president of China Energy Investment Corporation,, was invited to visit France from March 23 to 27. During the trip, he signed a cooperation agreement on the Dongtai offshore wind power project with électricité de France (EDF), and conducted a survey at the EDF headquarters and the EDF Research and Development Academy.

On the afternoon of March 25, Wang signed a cooperation agreement on Phase IV and Phase V of the Dongtai offshore wind power project with EDF Chairman and CEO Jean-Bernard Lévy in the Elysee Palace, the official residence of the French President. According to the agreement, the two sides will join hands to construct the offshore wind power project in Dongtai, Jiangsu Province, and the two phases will achieve installed capacity of 500,000 KW, with a total investment of 7.917 billion yuan.

Wang spoke highly of the successful cooperation between the two companies over the years, and hoped that both sides work together to push forward the construction of Phase IV and Phase V of the Dongtai offshore wind power project based on the agreement they signed. He also noted that the two sides should leverage their respective advantages to complete their existing joint project of Shandong Zhonghua Power Co., Ltd. through concerted efforts.

Lévy expressed his gratitude to China Energy for its continued support to their cooperation projects over the years, and said he is confident about the offshore wind power cooperation project. He noted that EDF will properly implement its commitments in the strategic cooperation agreement and is willing to continue deepening communication and exchange with China Energy in various fields and provide technical and personnel support for subsequent cooperation.
